Hey, I’m Elle! I’m a 20 year old English major at the University of Maryland. After completing my MA/PhD in British Literature (fingers crossed for University of Virginia) I hope that I can begin my career as a university professor.
I’m absolutely obsessed with reading. Ever since I learned to read, I’ve spent my life engaging with one book or another. Everything I’ve ever learned I learned from a book. I want to take this passion and inspire others to read, learn, and grow as I have.
I am also an aspiring writer. To me, writing has always been something that has completely lit my heart on fire. When I’m writing something, I feel like my fingers are flying, like my head is screaming through the words… like I can’t control myself. I love that feeling. This blog is all about my attempt to revive that in myself. As one of my highly influential professors once said, “It doesn’t really matter what you write, as long as you’re writing with passion.”
